#123 - Parable of the Wheat and Tares

[Sermon based on Mt 13:24-30; 36-43]

This parable is seldom preached on, and even when it is, many tend to focus on the judgement aspect of it.

Listen to how Rev Reuben rightly point out that it is the devil that has sown seeds of tares amongst the seeds of wheat, and that the field that contains the wheat and tares represents the world rather than the church.  By doing so, this parable is seen in the correct light: that God is love, judgement is not on us believers, and that God does not want anyone to perish but all to come to repentance.
